County fun day at Bletchley park

Bletchley24 – our county fun day at Bletchley Park

We are delighted to launch our county event for 2024. Bletchley24 will take place over 2 days. On Saturday 6 July we welcome North Bedfordshire, Bedford, East Bedfordshire and Mid Bedfordshire and on Sunday 7 July we welcome Luton South, Luton North, Dunstable, Woburn and Leighton Linslade.

This is an all-day event and is open to all sections with activities tailored to the different age groups. The coaches will arrive at Bletchley between 9.45am and 10.45am. At the end of the day, they will leave between 4.30pm and 5pm. Exact coach pick-up and drop-off locations and times will be shared once we have confirmed numbers.

Girls will need to come in uniform and bring a packed lunch. There will be set lunch times and area but if it’s a nice day, feel free to picnic in the grounds.

We will offer a range of activities throughout the day. There will be a mix of crafts to try. Maybe you will make your very own morse bracelet. If you know the history of Bletchley Park, you expect some challenges. How good are you with invisible ink? We will have a swing dance session for Brownies and some Dad’s Army fun for the Rainbows. The Guides and Rangers can test their skills with cyber security. If your young members have visited with the school, don’t worry. The team will ensure that none of our plans for the day overlap with the set school activities, so it will all be fresh. That said, each group will have some down time to explore the grounds with a trail pack and maybe find out about the amazing work that some of the pigeons did. Do you know, the pigeons even won medals?

Our team are working on a great badge to take home to remember the day.

The cost for the event is:

All young members (Rainbows-Rangers/Young Leaders): £25

Leaders/Adults 18+ : 1 unit leader per 5 girls- free.

Additional leaders/adults- £25

This cost includes transport to and from the event, all activities, and an event badge.

Due to limited spaces this event is not available to leaders’ children who are not Guiding members. This may be reviewed depending on booking numbers
