Welcome to Unity Hall, the home of Guiding and Scouting in Barton-le-Clay. We’re excited to offer a warm and practical venue for other Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, and Ranger units to use for meetings, events, and sleepovers. Below you’ll find all the key information to help you plan your visit.

Location

Unity Hall, Luton Road Sports Ground, Luton Road, Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire, MK45 4LQ

We’re located in a quiet area with easy access from the M1 and nearby villages. The MK1 bus also passes through the village which goes from Bedford to Luton to Milton Keynes.

There is free parking on-site. We are located close to Barton Hills making it a great location for walks around the area.

Facilities

Unity Hall is a purpose-built Guide and Scout hall with a range of facilities ideal for unit meetings, activity days and sleepovers.

• Main Hall: Large open space for games, crafts, and activities
• Kitchen: Fully equipped with oven, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer, and basic cooking utensils
• Tables and chairs: Plenty available for your group’s needs
• Toilets: Clean and accessible, including one with disabled access
• Outdoor space: Secure garden area for outdoor games and purpose built campfire area
• Heating: Heating throughout for year-round use
• Wi-Fi is available upon request

Sleepover Facilities

Unity Hall is suitable for overnight stays by Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers.

• Indoor sleepover – bring own sleeping mats and bedding
• Space outside for tents
• Kitchen suitable for meal preparation
• Emergency lighting and fire exits
• Smoke and CO2 detectors throughout
• First aid kit available, but bring your own for your group

Please note: You must have a qualified residential licence holder, e.g., Going Away With licence, for overnight stays.

Important Info

• Arrival/Departure times: Flexible, but must be confirmed at booking
• Cleaning: Please leave the hall clean and tidy. Cleaning supplies are provided.
• Rubbish: Take all rubbish with you or use the bins as instructed.
• Allergy/food safety note: The kitchen is used by multiple groups. Please check carefully for allergens if needed.
