Nominations for awards
Our county Valuing our volunteers event on 18 November is fast approaching. Now is a great time to recognise and shout-out about how fantastic it is to be a volunteer with Girlguiding. It’s important to say thank you so all our volunteers feel valued, but if you think someone has done a great job, please consider nominating them for an award.
We have a number of formal awards to recognise and celebrate members and volunteers’ achievements. Awards are a wonderful way to show your gratitude and celebrate the achievements of members and recognised volunteers in your team.
You can use an award to recognise:
- Someone who has taken on an extra responsibility.
- Someone who always helps others.
- Someone who organised an amazing event.
In fact, anyone you think who has gone above and beyond!
There is so much good stuff going on around the county and you, our volunteers, are making it happen. So, we need to show how much we appreciate them. To do this, we need you to nominate the volunteers that you know are doing amazing things.
Awards and recognition are an important part of guiding life and enable us to show thanks for the hard work of our volunteers and to recognise when members have gone above and beyond.
To find out about the varying awards available go to the awards and recognition page.
The form to complete to nominate someone is now online, so is a much simpler process for both nomination and review.
And remember that formal awards are just one way to say thanks. You can get more ideas for thanking your volunteers and recognising what they do.
