Rewarding Volunteering  

Every year Girlguiding Bedfordshire County are proud to hold a rewards and afternoon tea event to recognise our fantastic volunteers throughout the County. Volunteers can nominate those who have made a big impact throughout their Girlguiding duties, and these are then reviewed by our Awards Committee. During the 2024 event we also recognised over 1800 years of service accrued by our fantastic volunteers. 

The service accrued spanned 5 years to a truly remarkable 60 years, and we would like to acknowledge the full recipient list below:

For our nominated awards, the County Awards team had the pleasure of awarding the following special recognition awards:

Bedfordshire Youth Award was awarded to Charlotte Bull, Sienna Gibbons and Mia Fountain 

Thanks Badges were awarded to Diane Smith, Katie Trevor, Ella Warner, Hannah Leeland, Amy Simms, Guy Wilson, Katie Pine, Olivia Clarke and Kim Mockridge 

 

The Girlguiding Hero Award was awarded to Dawn Tuck. 

The Bedfordshire Brooch was awarded to Kerry Connor, Jenny Forsyth, Sandra Watson, Karen Inkersole and Jenny King. 

The Good Service Brooch was awarded to Liz Rix, Linda Elliot and Paul Hunt. 

 

Well done to all our amazing award recipients and a big thank you to team who put the day together. It was truely a special day for all those who attended.
