Sensational Silver and Glorious Gold

On Saturday 12th April, County Commissioner, Amanda Barker had the great pleasure to attend the Silver and Gold DofE Presentation for Girlguiding Bedfordshire, with 11 young women receiving an award.

These individuals have worked tirelessly to complete each requirement over the last 12 months and beyond; including volunteering activities, skill and physical sections and an expedition. The expedition paperwork showed just how hard these young women have worked to achieve these prestigious awards. And we are proud that their service element was all completed in local Guiding units to help support other girls in the community, and becoming a valuable resource to every unit that they are a member of. We to see them all continue their Girlguiding journeys and what they achieve next!

The Gold Awards are off to Buckingham Palace in May to be officially presented with their awards.  I’m sure the tea and cakes will be fabulous! 

The great news is the silver recipients have already started their Gold Awards. 

Valerie and her team of Assessors do amazing work for Bedfordshire Girlguiding DofE offering, and we are always wanting more people to join.
