Once Upon a Time
There were five year-olds and 75 year-olds, but they were all part of Girlguiding, and all having a great time together.
On Sunday 12 March over 130 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Trefoil members from Woburn District, made their way to Stantonbury Theatre for our long-awaited Gang Show.
Twice postponed by Covid-19, we finally performed ‘Once Upon a Time’ with Woburn Sands Brownies in charge of our ‘library’ and introducing each sketch based on a book. There was a glittering performance of ‘Rainbow Fish’, lots of fun with ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ and ‘Dear Zoo’, some naughty children from ‘Malory Towers’ and Guides on a Hunt!
We had a great time with lots of laughter, singing, dancing, piano playing and audience participation.
I would like to thank everyone who made it all possible: leaders, ushers, tech crew, front of house, just so many, who have given the youngsters an opportunity they will always remember.
